Gigi is heading back to the city where it all started!
Gigi will be attending this year’s Emerald City ComiCon as a guest of Rorschach Entertainment, the comic publisher currently producing Blue Shift. She will be there for both days of the show — Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th.
As a special bonus, we’ve put together a special ECCC print featuring the Pepper Jones artwork by artist Camilla d’Errico (who will also be at the show). There are only 100 copies being printed, folks! If you want one, you’ll need to swing by and snag one while you can. If any are left over from the show, they will be made available at a later date, either online or at a future show.

Check out this brand new Blue Shift pin-up! This fabulous piece was done by the incredibly talented Camilla d’Errico, whose work can be found in the comics Nightmares and Fairytales and Make 5 Wishes. Do yourself a favor and go check out her work at www.camilladerrico.com!
This adventure has been breathtaking in every sense of the word… once again, like many of my manifestations, it appeared over a heart beat… that stumbled upon another… and then it arrived at a certain juncture… or… so it seems :)
When I was traveling over the seas and faraway, I collided with an Impresario… He had invited me to sign at one of his events. As we wandered through the weekend, we exchanged stories of all sorts. We collided with the decision that we should work with each other on a new endeavor. He had mentioned that he was a writer of sorts and thought that I may not do so bad picking up a pen myself… and that I did. For over a year we exchanged thoughts and fumbles through Cyberspace and Cingular.
We conjured many sizable ideas of how we could express these exchanges. They now are beginning to come to you guys disguised in two comic books :) And some sounds from the soul :)
The first is called Blue Shift, an adventure of a young lady that somehow ends up deep in the uncharted territories… who… knew…
The other is still being shuffled back and forward Los Angeles…New York… Seattle… Cabo… Puerto Escondido… San Diego… Atlanta… Germany… London… Oslo… Paris… Memphis… Montreal… Cognac… Tennessee… Mississippi… Texas… Magnetic Island… Australia… the list goes on… It goes by the name of Nobody Knows. It uncovers the journey of a creature that finds itself somewhere that seems not so familiar… in a far off land… where at times it is challenging to tell what is real and what is simply make believe.
As I fell into the clouds, the Impresario introduced me to the Music Maker… within less than an instant, and I tell no lie, the music told us what to play… we had but no choice… it seemed to somehow serenade our already outlandish ideas…
This little empire has already involved many on all sides of the globe… the beauty full and extremely crafty art of Sydney from Brazil… the sounds of Seattle… the daydreams of Australians… the night dreams of Los Angelians… the muses that inspire from one side of the earth to the other…
Our enterprise is fueled by your comments, your energies, your giggles and your gurgles… we plan to keep you guys clued in all the way, in directing our tales and dissecting our wonders.
Here’s to an amazing dream that we can all share… here’s to the journey… who knows where and when the destination will appear… or if at all… oh, what fun…
Game on!!!

With the holidays upon us, Gigi and I will be spending some time with our families, but we’ll also be taking some of this free time to work on various scripts and get Blue Shift ready to go by Summer of 2008.
Part of getting ready will be promotion, and I just took a couple of steps towards that by putting up pages devoted to the book on two popular networking sites. Anyone with accounts on MySpace and it’s 4-Color Counterpart, ComicSpace, can find us at the following addresses:
MySpace - www.myspace.com/blueshiftcomic
ComicSpace - www.comicspace.com/blueshift
Both of these sites have miscellaneous samples of Blue Shift artwork for you to check out.
Also, Gigi and our friend/cohort Kyle Stevens have also put up a MySpace page devoted to the CD, …So It Seems. It’s located at www.myspace.com/gigiedgley.
Show your support for Gigi and add her as a Friend!

For those of you that missed out on Gigi’s cabaret show at the 2007 Farscape Con at Burbank, they are available on YouTube for your viewing pleasure! Backed by Kyle Stevens, Gigi performs an acoustic set of all three of her brand new songs from her EP CD, …So It Seems.
We should have the CD available for purchase in the next couple of weeks, so keep checking back.

The people over at ScapeCast have put together their latest podcast episode (#43) featuring an interview with Gigi Edgley, recorded at the recent Farscape Con at Burbank. She talks about the comic, the CD, and much more!
The podcast is an MP3 file, which you can either download or stream in to listen to. You can find the interview past the 20 minute mark.

Since I was unable to go down to the Farscape convention this last weekend, I had to rely on my friend Kyle Stevens to give an accurate report as to what went down. Check out his blog, 365 Days of Songs, for this update. For those unfamiliar with Kyle, he is the musician that has helped Gigi produce her music CD, …So It Seems, which was also available for sale down at the show. I’ll have more info on the CD later…
Apparently, the Blue Shift Preview Ashcan (as well as the …So It Seems CD) was a big hit and we blew through a ton of copies. So far, the response to the ashcan has been very positive!
Gigi will still have copies of the ashcan (and the CD) available for purchase at the Big Apple Con in just a week and a half!

Nov. 16-18, 2007
After this show, we will take stock of what’s left and we’ll see about getting them available for purchase online.
